I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist and founder of my practice, Mindful Communion. My clinical background began in medicine, where I earned my Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in 2009, providing me with a strong foundation in understanding the connection between physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. I later pursued specialized graduate training in Marriage and Family Therapy and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Illinois.
My advanced clinical training includes Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and somatic approaches. I integrate these modalities through an attachment-based, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive lens, recognizing the interconnectedness of mind, body, relationships, and family systems.
My medical and psychotherapy backgrounds allow me to bring a holistic, integrative perspective to helping individuals and couples understand themselves, navigate emotional challenges, and build healthier relationships.
