General Information
Hi, I’m Sarah Naqvi (she/her). I’m a trauma-informed therapist who holds space for South Asian and immigrant communities navigating the layered complexities of healing, especially when culture, family, mental health, and personal identity intersect.
Whether you’re struggling with intergenerational trauma, managing family expectations, experiencing anxiety or depression, or simply feeling like you’re living two lives, one for yourself and one for everyone else, I offer a space where you won’t have to explain what it means to be the “desi daughter,” feel pressure to marry, or stay silent about mental health for the sake of family reputation.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed care. I integrate Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and attachment theory to support you in reconnecting with parts of yourself that may have been dismissed, shamed, or silenced, often in the name of survival. Together, we’ll work to rewrite old narratives, access core emotions, and create new meaning rooted in your values and lived experience.
You don’t have to code-switch here. You don’t have to choose between culture and care. If you’ve been waiting for a therapist who just gets it, you’re not alone anymore.
